Revit Price 2026: What Revit Really Costs in the US, UK and EU

Revit costs $3,005 a year for one user in the US, shown as $251 a month paid annually, or $380 if you pay month by month. That is before tax. In Germany the same subscription is €3,106 a year including VAT, and in the UK £2,712. Revit LT, the cut-down version, costs $560 a year, and Flex charges $30 for each day you use Revit. We checked every price below on Autodesk's own store on 26 October 2026, with screenshots. We also worked out which plan is cheapest for how you actually work.

Only need the first model of a project? Try AIBIMTool free
- AIBIMTool is online and has a free version. It is an AI BIM tool: describe the building, load the site, and it models storeys, walls, slabs, doors, stairs and named rooms.
- The result is IFC4, and it opens in Revit, so you pay for Revit only when the project gets to drawings.
- Free plan: one full AI generation and the IFC download. Paid plans start at €49 a month billed yearly.
We make AIBIMTool, so read what we say about it with that in mind. Everything about Revit's price comes from Autodesk's own pages and is linked at the end.
The short version
- Revit: $3,005 a year, or $380 a month. Annual is cheaper if you need it for 8 months or more. All prices.
- Revit LT: $560 a year. Fine for one architect working alone, but no add-ins, no worksharing, no MEP. What LT leaves out.
- Flex: $30 a day. Cheaper than annual below about 100 days a year. Flex maths.
- Free: only the 30-day trial and the education licence for students and teachers. Details.
- Spend less: monthly for short projects, LT Suite instead of LT, AEC Collection instead of two products, and AI for the early model. How.
Key facts about Revit pricing (26 October 2026)

Revit price in the US
Autodesk's Revit store for the US on 26 October 2026, with the three-year term selected. The one-year term shows $3,005 a year.
| Plan | What you pay | Cost of one year |
|---|---|---|
| Annual subscription | $3,005 once a year ($251 a month equivalent) | $3,005 |
| Monthly subscription | $380 every month | $4,560 if you keep it all year |
| Three-year term | $9,020, in three annual payments | $3,007 |
| Flex | $3 a token, 10 tokens for each day you use Revit | $30 × days used |
Prices are for one user and exclude sales tax. Autodesk gives a 30-day money-back window on annual and multi-year subscriptions and 15 days on monthly ones.
Two things in this table are easy to miss:
- The three-year term is not a discount. $9,020 is $5 more than three single years at $3,005. What you get is a price that cannot go up for three years. That is worth having if you expect price rises, but it is not a saving.
- "$251 a month" is not a monthly plan. It is the annual price divided by twelve and charged in one payment of $3,005. The real monthly plan is $380.

Revit price in Europe and the UK
Autodesk prices Revit by region, so the dollar price does not convert one to one. Here is what the stores showed for the same annual subscription:
| Store | Annual subscription | Monthly subscription | Flex minimum |
|---|---|---|---|
| United States | $3,005 a year (before tax) | $380 | $99 for 33 tokens |
| Germany | €3,106 a year, including estimated VAT | €393 | €103 for 33 tokens |
| Generic EU store | €3,159 a year | €400 | €104 for 33 tokens |
| United Kingdom | £2,712 a year, including VAT | £342 | £90 for 33 tokens |
The German store on 26 October 2026: €3,106 a year for one user, including estimated VAT.
One caution we could not resolve: the German and UK pages state that VAT is included. The generic EU store, which Autodesk uses for several smaller EU countries, shows €3,159 without saying either way, so add your country's VAT at checkout unless the cart shows otherwise. Before you budget, open Autodesk's store for your own country. The price is set by where you buy, not by where your client is.
Autodesk's generic EU store on 26 October 2026: €264 a month billed yearly (€3,159 a year), €400 monthly.
Revit LT vs Revit: what the cheaper version leaves out
Autodesk's own comparison page on 26 October 2026: Revit LT, Revit and the AEC Collection side by side.
Revit LT costs less than a fifth of Revit, and for one architect working alone on houses or small buildings it covers a lot. According to Autodesk's comparison, LT has walls, floors, roofs, ceilings and columns, door and window families, stairs, railings, rooms and areas, site modelling, design options, phasing, schedules and IFC files. What it leaves out, also according to that comparison:
- Working with others: no worksharing (several people in one model), no Revit Server, no interference check or copy/monitor, no shared coordinates.
- Automation: no third-party add-ins, no Autodesk App Store, no Dynamo, no macros and no API. This also means no AI add-ins and no Claude connection. The Revit MCP servers in our guide to connecting Claude to Revit are add-ins, so they need full Revit.
- Engineering: no MEP systems (ducts, piping, electrical), no rebar, trusses or steel connections, and no structural analytical model.
- Design tools: no conceptual massing or adaptive components, no in-place modelling and no global parameters.
- Analysis and visuals: no sun and shadow studies, solar, energy or lighting analysis, and no in-product rendering.
- Formats: no point clouds, no PDF import, and no linked Rhino or SketchUp files.
The cheaper upgrade most people miss: the AutoCAD Revit LT Suite costs $680 a year, only $120 more than Revit LT alone, and adds AutoCAD LT. If you also draw in 2D, buy the suite.
Balkan Architect's test of Revit LT on a real project is the clearest look at what those missing tools mean in practice. The video is from 2023, so use the comparison above for current prices. The feature split has stayed the same.
I tested Revit LT, by Balkan Architect on YouTube, 15 minutes 11 seconds, published September 2023. The player only loads when you press play.
Revit Flex: when paying by the day is cheaper
Flex is Autodesk's pay-as-you-go option. You buy tokens, and each day you open Revit uses 10 of them. On the US store tokens cost $3 each in packs of 33 ($99) and 100 ($300), so one day of Revit costs $30.
Flex against the annual subscription, from Autodesk's US prices on 26 October 2026. Our calculation; Autodesk does not publish this chart.
- Below about 100 days a year, Flex is cheaper than the annual subscription ($3,005 ÷ $30 ≈ 100).
- Within one month, Flex beats a $380 monthly subscription below 13 days of use.
- Full-time, Flex is the most expensive option: about 220 working days cost about $6,600, more than twice the annual price.
Flex suits a firm where a few people open Revit now and then, for example to check a consultant's model, or a freelancer with one Revit project a year.
Is Revit free? Trial, students and perpetual licences
- Free trial: 30 days of full Revit from Autodesk's site.
- Students and educators: Autodesk gives eligible students, educators and schools free access for one year, renewable while they remain eligible, and Revit is included. It is for learning and teaching, not for paid work.
- Perpetual licences: gone for new buyers. Autodesk stopped selling new perpetual seats of Revit and most standalone products from February 2016. Everything since then is a subscription.
- No free commercial version: if you are paid for the work, you need a paid licence.
The costs that are not on the price tag
- A Windows PC. Revit needs 64-bit Windows, 8 to 32 GB of RAM, 30 GB of disk and a DirectX 11 graphics card with at least 4 GB of video memory. There is no macOS version, so Mac users also pay for Windows and a virtual machine.
- Learning time. Revit takes months to learn properly, and that time costs more than the licence for most small practices.
- Collaboration. Several people in one model need full Revit, not LT, and Autodesk lists Revit's cloud worksharing as needing a further subscription on top of Revit.
- Add-ins and content. Many offices pay for rendering, family libraries and productivity add-ins on top. None of them run on LT.
How to pay less for Revit
- Match the plan to the months. If a project needs Revit for seven months or fewer, pay monthly. If you need it for eight months or more, pay annually.
- Use Flex for occasional use. Below about 100 days a year, it is cheaper than a subscription.
- Buy the LT Suite, not plain LT, if you also use AutoCAD: $120 more gets you AutoCAD LT.
- Buy the AEC Collection rather than two products. It is $670 a year more than Revit alone and includes AutoCAD, Civil 3D and more.
- Check your country's store and VAT. Prices differ by region, and the store you buy from sets the price.
- Do not use Revit for what it is slow at. The first model of a project, testing area, layout and massing against a brief and a site, is where many offices now use AI tools and bring the result into Revit later.
Where AIBIMTool fits, and where it does not
AIBIMTool is our product. It is an online AI BIM tool whose agent runs on Anthropic's Claude. You describe a project in plain language ("a two-storey office of about 25,000 sq ft with a cafeteria and conference rooms"), load the site from the map or attach an RFP, and it models the building as IFC4, with storeys, walls, slabs, doors, stairs, a roof and named rooms. You then open or link that IFC in Revit. In our own test, a one-line office brief became a 2,300 m² two-storey model in about five minutes on the free plan.
| Revit | AIBIMTool | |
|---|---|---|
| Price for one user | $3,005 a year, or $380 a month | Free plan; Starter €49 a month billed yearly (€89 monthly) |
| Runs on | Windows only | Any browser, including on a Mac |
| First model of a building | You model it by hand | The AI agent models it from a brief and a site |
| Construction documents | Yes, full drawing sets, families, schedules | No, early design only |
| Worksharing and engineering | Yes (not in LT) | No |
| File format | Native .rvt, plus IFC | IFC4, which opens in Revit and Archicad |
Where AIBIMTool saves you money: at the start of a project, where you test a brief against a site before anyone has a Revit model, and for people who need a BIM model occasionally and would otherwise pay $380 for a month of Revit. Where it does not: if your job is construction documents, coordination with engineers or anything that needs native .rvt, you need Revit (or LT for simple projects), and AIBIMTool does not change that. The realistic saving for an office is fewer Revit hours spent on early design, not fewer Revit licences.

Is Revit worth the price? Our honest take
For an office that produces construction documents in the US or UK, or works with consultants who send .rvt files, yes. $3,005 a year is a small part of what one architect costs, and the format is the industry's default. For a sole practitioner doing houses, Revit LT, or better the LT Suite, is usually enough. Flex makes sense only for occasional use. Where Revit is poor value is the early, exploratory part of a project, when you need many quick options rather than one precise model. That is the part we built AIBIMTool for, and you can try it free.
How we made this guide
Every price comes from Autodesk's own stores on 26 October 2026: the Revit, Revit LT, AutoCAD Revit LT Suite and AEC Collection buy pages for the US, the German, UK and generic EU Revit stores, the Revit LT vs Revit vs AEC Collection comparison page, the Flex page and the free-trial and education pages. We took screenshots of each and closed only the country pop-up and chat bubble. US prices exclude tax; the German and UK pages state that they include VAT; the EU page does not say. The feature differences between Revit and Revit LT are Autodesk's own, from the comparison page.
The annual-versus-monthly and Flex break-even figures are our own arithmetic from those prices. Search volumes come from Ahrefs Keywords Explorer (US, October 2026): "revit cost" about 500 searches a month, "revit price" 400, "revit license" 350. AIBIMTool prices are those on aibimtool.com on 26 October 2026, including VAT. We make AIBIMTool, and we listed what it does not replace as plainly as what it does. Autodesk changes prices from time to time, so check the store before you buy.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Revit cost in 2026?
On autodesk.com on 26 October 2026, a Revit subscription for one user costs $3,005 a year in the US (shown as $251 a month, paid annually) or $380 a month on a monthly plan, before tax. In Germany it is €3,106 a year including VAT, in the UK £2,712 a year including VAT, and on Autodesk's generic EU store €3,159 a year. Flex costs $30 for each day you use Revit.
Is Revit free?
No, not for commercial work. Autodesk offers a 30-day free trial, and students and educators get a free education licence for one year, renewable while they stay eligible, for learning and teaching rather than paid projects. There is no free commercial version and, since February 2016, no new perpetual licence: Revit is sold only as a subscription.
What is the difference between Revit and Revit LT in price?
Revit LT costs $560 a year ($47 a month billed yearly) or $70 a month, against $3,005 a year for Revit. LT models walls, floors, roofs, stairs, rooms and families and exports IFC, but it has no worksharing, no MEP or detailed structural tools, no massing or in-place modelling, no point clouds and no third-party add-ins, Dynamo or API. The AutoCAD Revit LT Suite adds AutoCAD LT for $680 a year.
Is the monthly or the annual Revit subscription cheaper?
The annual subscription is cheaper if you need Revit for eight months or more in a year: twelve monthly payments cost $4,560 against $3,005 for the annual plan, which saves $1,555 or 34 percent. For seven months or fewer, monthly is cheaper. The three-year term ($9,020 in three annual payments) costs the same as three single years and only fixes the price.
Is Revit Flex worth it?
Flex charges 10 tokens for each day you open Revit, and tokens cost $3 each in the US, so a day of Revit costs $30. That is cheaper than the $3,005 annual subscription if you use Revit on fewer than about 100 days a year, and cheaper than a $380 month if you use it on fewer than 13 days that month. For full-time work Flex costs more than twice as much as the annual plan.
Does Revit cost the same in Europe?
No. Autodesk prices Revit per region. On 26 October 2026 the German store listed €3,106 a year including estimated VAT, the UK store £2,712 including VAT, and the generic EU store, used by several smaller EU countries, €3,159 a year without stating whether VAT is included. Check the store for your country before you budget.
Is there a cheaper way to do early BIM design than Revit?
For the first model of a project, yes. AIBIMTool is an online AI BIM tool that turns a written brief and a real site into an IFC4 model with storeys, walls, slabs, doors, stairs and named rooms, which opens in Revit. It has a free plan with one AI generation and the IFC download, and paid plans from €49 a month billed yearly. It does not replace Revit for construction documents.
